Bringing people together since decades
The founders of IJ Kakehashi Services Pvt Ltd (IJK) promote ETPA Foundation for Social Development. IJK collaborated with the SAGY Division, Ministry of Rural Development under the ambit of Achhi Aadat Campaign (AAC-2022) and reach out to a total of 3000 plus Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) Gram Panchayats across the country with the key messaging of AAC through corresponding products and IEC materials.
Ministry of Rural Development has taken the stride in collaborating with ETPA Foundation to complement the objectives of Mission LiFE in a sustainable manner. Mission LiFE – Lifestyle for the environment comes forward in changing individual and community behaviour to significantly impact the environment and climate crises.
ETPA Foundation introduced the concept of Mottainai Grandma in schools through storytelling sessions and other activities in the state of Jharkhand. The spirit of Mission Life is echoed by the idea of Mottainai which conveys a sense of regret over waste and
encompasses the spirit of the 4 R’s – Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, and Respect the environment.
This event was a pioneer event as it covered major stakeholders from the Government and elected representatives.
- The Ministry of Rural Development officials participated in the event including the Joint Secretary.
- Officials from the Department of Rural Development Government of Jharkhand along with District officials who facilitated the entire event.
- Elected representatives including the local MP of the constituency.

Proposed Area of Intervention
In the next phase, we are scaling our work to 100 more (SAGY) Gram Panchayats across 6 regions of India covering 6-8 states with the SAGY division Ministry of Rural Development. The following proposed activities will be carried out which include storytelling sessions co-curricular activities with school children and street plays among the communities on the 4 R’s and complement the Mission LiFE program to create.
ETPA Foundation is also looking forward to collaborating with the Commissioner of Rural Development, Government of UP in rolling out social behaviour change communication activities on the conservation of resources. It is also looking for a partnership with Corporates to implement the above-mentioned activities.
The Foundation is looking for support from like-minded civil society organizations and individual donors.

Humble beginnings with IJK
1. Project on raising awareness on environmental issues
with the help of storytelling in India.
2. Fact-finding survey to understand the eco-system of 2020-2022
household-level water supply, sewerage, and drainage
systems across 11 cities in India.
3. Data collection survey to understand the crop behavioral
pattern and their consumption attitudes across 3 Indian
states (Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, & West Bengal)
4. Project Title- Storytelling Caravan to promote the
Japanese concept of “Mottainai” meaning do not waste!

Became implementation partner of the Achhi Aadat Campaign a JICA India initiative successively for 2 years since 2021.
