Project Detail
In order to contribute to the Clean India (Swachh Bharat) initiatives of the Government of India. Mottainai for Swachh Bharat project was implemented with the prime objective to raise environment and hygiene-related awareness amongst children. The project was initiated by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) India and was executed by Kodansha Ltd Japan in collaboration with IJK The project was implemented in two phases spreaded over a span of 3 years which was also supported by Itochu India Ltd and Maruti India Ltd.

As cleanliness is a social responsibility and kids always follow elders, so in order to promote this campaign there is a need of collaborative effort.
Result
The impact assessment division of JICA conducted an evaluation to know the result of the intervention assessing the changes in knowledge, consciousness and behaviour related to hygiene and environment among the children. The outcome of the project was about the learning of hygiene and environmental protection.
